Despite harsh reviews and highly thrashed by critics, Bandhan got an extraordinary opening due to Salman Khan's phenomenal popularity among the masses, however the film after bumper opening dropped drastically and didn't do that well in Bombay. But its not s loss either, its an overflow film in Bombay. Apart from Bombay the film had done fantabulous business all-over the country especially in Delhi-U.P., Bihar, CP, CI and Rajasthan where it is doing superhit to blockbuster business. The film is still going strong in Hindi belt in it's 7th week. The film is doing excellent business among the masses and family audiences. The film is expected to rake around 3.5 crores in Delhi-U.P. and 2 crores in rest parts of India. 

Bandhan has proved to be 3rd hit in a row for Salman Khan this year. This is definitely the year of Salman Khan inspite of all his controversies and personal life mashup. The extraordinary collections of Bandhan in Hindi belt has also proved that Salman is the real public made superstar. He gets the bad press and media and still he is not affected by them. His films releases and his fans commands an fabulous opening all-over the country.

Sajid Nadiawala's Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega which had got bumper opening and one of the biggest opening of all-time. Released with record breaking prints, the first two days collections were 100% but after two days the collections started dropping however the collections are still excellent in Bombay and A class centres.
